Failure to disclose any unreported tickets or arrests for a 36 month period may result in termination of employment for failure to disclose. Employees that do not drive motor vehicles frequently on business travel will not have driving records reviewed. 4. P OSSIBLE C ORRECTIVE A CTIONS After reviewing an employee’s motor vehicle driving record, if the employee has received tickets or charges for what VCOM believes could cause increased liability risk for VCOM or would serve as a danger to the public, VCOM may require corrective action. The corrective action plans will vary by employee, depending upon the frequency and severity of the traffic violations. Employees with numerous and/or serious tickets and convictions may be required to enroll, pay for, and successfully complete defensive driving courses. Employees that cannot perform their job duties without driving motor vehicles for VCOM, who demonstrate a high risk for VCOM, may have their job duties modified so that driving for any duty or VCOM is not required. Employees who are not able to be

reassigned may be terminated. 5. D URATION OF P OLICY

The VCOM Policy on the Collection and Review of Employee Driving Records was established by College Administration is effective as of the date above and shall remain effective until amended or terminated by the President and Provost.
