evaluate students’ completion of the prescribed remediation plan when determining students’ readiness to sit for COMLEX Level 1 and approving the students’ testing date. Students who fail to participate in the prescribed remediation plan (which includes providing CIFSS with updates regarding study plan progress and question bank performance) or who have not participated in the required support meeting, will receive an “F” (Fail) grade for the course and be placed on a Temporary Administrative Withdrawal by the Campus Dean or will be referred by the Campus Dean to the Promotion Board for consideration for dismissal. These students will not be released to sit for COMLEX Level 1 until the “F” grade is resolved, as they will not have successfully completed the OMS 2 year. o Students must complete the remediation plan and sit for COMLEX Level 1 prior to entering the OMS 3 year. Those students who complete the remediation plan and sit for COMLEX Level 1 by the first day of the regularly scheduled OMS 3 year will receive a “P” (Pass) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course (provided they have met all other course requirements) and will be promoted to the OMS 3 year. Those students who have not completed the plan and/or who have not sat for COMLEX Level 1 by the first day of the regularly scheduled OMS 3 year will receive an “INC” (Incomplete) grade for the course, will not be eligible for promotion to the OMS 3 year, and will be placed on a Temporary Administrative Withdrawal until they receive a passing COMLEX Level 1 score. These students will not be eligible for re-enrollment or further financial aid until they pass COMLEX Level 1.
Once the student is temporarily withdrawn, they must sit for COMLEX Level 1 within 60 days of the first day of the regularly scheduled OMS 3 year and have a passing COMLEX Level 1 score within 90 days in order to be promoted to the OMS 3 year. These students will not be eligible for re-enrollment or further financial aid until they pass COMLEX Level 1. Upon receiving a passing score on COMLEX Level 1, the student will receive a “P” (Pass) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course (provided they have met all other course requirements) and will be promoted to the OMS 3 year. Those students who do not sit for COMLEX Level 1 within 60 days will remain on a Temporary Administrative Withdrawal until they receive a passing score. These students will not be eligible for re-enrollment or further financial aid until they pass COMLEX Level 1. - Temporary withdrawal may not exceed a 180-day limit. - Upon receiving a passing score within the 180-day limit, the student will be re-enrolled in the OMS 3-year curriculum. - Those students who do not pass COMLEX Level 1 within the 180-day limit will be dismissed by the Campus Dean.
• Students who score less than 440 on COMSAE Phase 1 on the first or second attempt will receive/retain an “IP” (In Progress) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course.
