• Students must complete the remediation plan and sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE prior to October 1st of their OMS 4 year. o Once students complete the remediation plan and sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE on the assigned date, they will receive a “P” (Pass) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course II. o Those students who have not completed the plan and/or who have not sat for COMLEX Level 2 CE by prior to October 1st of their OMS 4 year will receive an “INC” (Incomplete) grade for the course and will be placed on a Temporary Administrative Withdrawal until they pass COMLEX Level 2 CE. These students will not be eligible for re enrollment or further financial aid until they pass COMLEX Level 2 CE. The period of withdrawal may not exceed 180 days in a 12-month period or an academic year.

 Temporary withdrawal may not exceed a 180-day limit.  Upon receiving a passing score within the 180-day limit, the student will be re-enrolled to the OMS 4-year.  Those students who do not pass COMLEX Level 2 CE within the 180-day limit will be dismissed by the Campus Dean.

12.3 COMPE: A Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Performance Exam The Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Performance Exam (COMPE) serves as the OMS 3 summative evaluation for cumulative competency in the areas of communication; physical examination; osteopathic medicine; diagnosis; and treatment of patients in the ambulatory, hospital, or emergent care settings. The COMPE is designed to assess the performance expected of a student near completion of the third year of clinical education. The COMPE is taken at the end of the OMS 3 year. Students who are delayed and who are following an Altered Degree Plan of Study are required to meet with the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and CIFSS to determine the appropriate date of their exam and be approved to take the exam. A. Students who pass the COMPE on the first attempt will receive a “P” (Pass) grade for the COMPE. B. Students who do not pass the COMPE on the first attempt will receive an “IP” (In Progress) grade for the COMPE. • To resolve the “IP” grade, students are required to complete a remediation plan as determined by the Associate Dean for Simulation and the Associate Dean for OMS 4 and GME. 12.3.1 COMPE: First Attempt
