COMSAE Phase 2: First and Second Attempt
A. Students who score 480 or greater on COMSAE Phase 2 will receive a “P” (Pass) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course II and will be allowed to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE within the VCOM approved testing window. Once students pass COMSAE Phase 2 they are to continue to study until they take the COMLEX Level 2 CE during the approved testing window. B. Students who score 460 – 479 on COMSAE Phase 2 will receive/maitain an “IP” (In Progress) grade for the Comprehensive Review Course II This score range is considered a conditional pass, which indicates that the student needs to complete additional structured and monitored remediation before being released to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE. To resolve the “IP” grade and be released to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE, the student is required to do the following: • Meet with CIFSS to design a prescribed remediation plan, which may include attendance at a VCOM approved external immersion course. The plan includes a tentative date the student is to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE. o The length and details of the study plan will be based on each student’s individual progress. Students in this score range may choose to continue to follow a VCOM-directed study plan or may choose to attend an in person external immersion program. o In order to be released to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE, the student must score 65% or greater on all-topic, timed question sets of at least 25 questions in TrueLearn for a minimum of 2 weeks immediately prior to their scheduled COMLEX Level 2 CE exam. o Students must follow and complete a prescribed remediation plan as designed in order to be released to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE, which includes providing CIFSS with weekly updates regarding study plan progress and question bank performance. VCOM will evaluate students’ completion of the prescribed remediation plan when determining students’ readiness to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE and approving the students’ testing date. o Students who fail to participate in the prescribed remediation plan (which includes providing CIFSS with updates regarding study plan progress and question bank performance) or who have not participated in the required support meeting, will receive an “F” (Fail) grade for the course will be placed on a Temporary Administrative Withdrawal by the Campus Dean. These students will not be released to sit for COMLEX Level 2 CE until the “F” grade is resolved, as they will not have successfully completed the OMS 3 year.
