Dominican Republic April 2018

Outreach Trips 2017-2018 In April 2018, a group from the VCOM-Virginia campus including 24 second-year students and and several preceptors, traveled to the Dominican Republic for a one-week medical outreach trip. During the week, the group was able to help over 500 underserved patients by setting up temporary clinics in unserved communities. Clinical activities in the Dominican Republic included day trips to communities throughout the La Altagracia province - the most eastern part of the country.
