T he Anesthesia Special Interest Group (ASIG) works to provide students with with a specialized look into the field of anesthesiology. Most medical students receive little exposure to anesthesiology as a profession during medical school, so ASIG allows students to better understand the role of anesthesiologists and what options are available to them. • David Carter, DO, a VCOM graduate, came and spoke about the field of anesthesiology.
