T he Student Osteopathic Orthopedic Association (SOOA) is a specialty committee of SOSA. • In the fall of 2017, SOOA welcomed Micah Jones, DO, of Lewis-Gale Salem Medical Center for a radiology workshop. Dr. Jones is a Roanoke-area orthopaedic surgeon specializing in upper extremity and pediatric orthopaedics. He provided resources for orthopaedic review material, general advice regarding preparations for orthopaedic residencies during first-and second-year, and conducted a radiology/ orthopaedic workshop.
