T he American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) at VCOM-Virginia is a special interest group of ACOFP and it works to bring interest and awareness to

women in medicine. The group has many goals, including educating students about the roles women play in healthcare, increasing awareness about women’s health issues through

community involvement, and supporting women in their professional careers.
