PURPOSE The purpose for the VCOM Policy on Assuring the Clinical Education Curriculum is to outline the methodologies by which students can complete the clinical education curriculum. VCOM is committed to the support and assurance of a robust clinical education program for each student. 2. CORE CLINICAL EDUCATION AT VCOM VCOM provides an organized and College run clinical training program that addresses clinical training across the continuum form the pre-doctoral years through residency acceptance. While the Clinical Affairs Department is expansive in scope, it is singular in focus; to provide exceptional education in the art and science of osteopathic medicine while preparing globally minded, community-focused physicians. As such, VCOM has established procedures that assure that students can complete their entire clinical education curriculum with VCOM affiliated sites. VCOM recognizes that osteopathic medical education is a continuum. Clinical education begins with early clinical experiences in years one and two including simulation,
