DURATION OF POLICY ...................................................................................................................................... 9 A PPENDIX A ............................................................................................................................................................ 10 PURPOSE The purpose of the Faculty Recruitment and Selection Policy is to outline the procedures for the recruitment of new or replacement clinical, biomedical and administrative faculty (hereinafter “faculty”) who are needed to fulfill VCOM’s mission. Successful implementation of this policy will help VCOM recruit faculty who are not only qualified, but who share the values and commitment to the mission of VCOM. This will reduce the costs associated with turnover, will help ensure that the hiring process is compliant with applicable rules and regulations, and will help ensure a smooth employment transition of new faculty. 1.
