Officers of the Campus Faculty Senate Each Campus Faculty Senate will elect a Chair, Chair-elect, and secretary as officers for a one-year term with the option of being elected to serve for an additional one-year term (two years total). Any member of the Campus Faculty Senate may make nominations. A majority vote of all Campus Senators is needed to elect the officers. The outgoing Chair, if not a continuing member of the Campus Faculty Senate, will serve as an ex-officio member for one year. a. The Chair will: i. Preside at meetings of the Campus Faculty Assembly and meetings of the Campus Faculty Senate. ii. Call the meetings of the Campus Faculty Assembly and Campus Faculty Senate. iii. Set the agenda for meetings of the Campus Faculty Assembly and Campus Faculty Senate, with input from the Campus Faculty Assembly. iv. Represent the Campus Faculty Senate on the Dean’s Council. v. Submit all Campus Faculty Senate items requesting action, in writing, to the Campus Dean. vi. Represent their campus faculty on the College-wide Faculty Senate.

b. The Chair-elect will:

i. Assume the office of Chair when the existing Chair's term expires. ii. Assume the office of Chair in the event of the Chair's absence, resignation, or removal from office.

iii. Preside at Campus Faculty Senate meetings in the absence of the Chair. vi. Represent their campus faculty on the College-wide Faculty Senate.

c. The secretary will: i. Keep minutes and records of all proceedings, including decisions, of the Campus Faculty Senate. ii. Distribute the approved minutes of Campus Faculty Senate meetings to the Campus Dean.

d. Campus Senators will:

i. Attend, participate in, and vote at meetings of the Campus Faculty Senate. ii. Represent the views of their division to the Campus Faculty Senate. iii. Make the Campus Faculty Senate actions and views known to their respective divisions.

Meetings of the Campus Faculty Assembly 1. The Campus Faculty Assembly meets at least annually and is encouraged to meet twice per year. Meetings may be called by the Chair of the Campus Faculty Senate or Campus Dean. The Provost and President should be invited to attend the meeting to address the assembly. 2. In the case where the Campus Dean calls the meeting, the Campus Dean will set the agenda for the meeting. When the Chair of the Campus Faculty Senate calls the meeting, the Chair will set the agenda. 3. The Chair of the Campus Faculty Senate will preside at the meetings of the Faculty Assembly on each campus. Any member of the Campus Faculty Assembly, Campus Faculty Senate or administration may suggest agenda items for each meeting. 4. The Campus Dean will generally address the Campus Faculty Assembly at the beginning of each meeting.
