Alexis Stoner, PhD, MPH recently completed her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction – Instructional Design and Technology from Virginia Tech.

Lily Knights contributed to the efforts of the Division of Communications, Marketing, Website and Publications in receiving a Silver ARC International Award

Katherine Baumgarner participated in the research and presentation of four

Dr. Stoner was an invited speaker for the Mountain States Health Alliance Second Annual Rural Residents Research Symposium. She also presented at the American Osteopathic Association: Osteopathic Medical Conference & Exposition in Orlando, Florida, in October 2015, and at the Associated for Prevention Teach and Research Teaching Prevention meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in March 2016. Her publications in 2016 include “An osteopathic approach to the treatment of ovarian cancer,” in the Osteopathic Family Physician , and “A one health case study of Chikungunya: An emerging disease,” in APTR-AAVMC One Health Interprofessional Education Initiative .

is currently serving as Communications lead and Marketing liaison for the

Membership Advisory Board of the national Higher Education Web Professionals Association. Brown contributed to the efforts of the Division of Communications, Marketing, Website and Publications in receiving a Silver ARC International Award in 2015, as well as two Gold awards and one Silver award from the 2015 Collegiate Advertising Awards for photography and publication design at VCOM–Carolinas.

Lindsey Ridgeway, PhD served as Santa’s Shoppe Chair for the Junior League of Spartanburg (JLS) and was awarded Team of the Year for Service

in the Community. She serves as an Advisory Board Member for the United Way of the Piedmont Young Leaders Society.

Kevin Froemel received the Predictive Maintenance and Conditioning Monitoring Certificate.
