Public Health & Advocacy Bone Marrow Donation Registry Event (Aug. 14) – Registered over 35 donors for potential life-saving matches. Education & Youth Engagement Elementary School Anatomy Academy (Nov. 21) – Interactive learning experience about lung function for elementary students. Summer Enrichment Experience (SEE) Program (July 9) – Hosted high school students for a medical and science education week. Rural High School Mini-Medical School (April 26) – Provided hands-on medical training for high schoolers in Bristol, Virginia. Steppin’ Out! Community Fair (Aug. 2) – Represented VCOM at a community street festival in Blacksburg. Fundraisers & Awareness Events “Kickin’ it to Breast Cancer” (Oct. 24) – Raised over $400 for the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. SAMOPS 5K for Wounded Warrior Project (Oct. 23) – Supported veterans’ recovery and reintegration. Pickle for Project Smile Tournament (June 14) – Fundraiser for cleft lip repair surgery.
