VCOM-Virginia Community Outreach Healthcare & Medical Outreach Franklin County Health Fair (Sept. 4) – Provided free health screenings, vision checks, women’s health education, and OMM services. Blacksburg Farmers Market Free Clinic (April 25) – Offered free OMM treatments, led pediatric first-aid booths, and raised money for Special Olympics. Free Health Screenings at AARP Health Fair (Sept. 17) – Participated in a community health fair. Mini EMS Symposium (Nov. 6) – Third-year students educated EMTs and paramedics on cardiovascular, diabetes, and mental health topics. Stroke Systems Task Force (April 30) – Hosted Virginia Department of Health’s conference on improving stroke care. American Red Cross Blood Drive (March 7) – Partnered with ACOS-MSS to address the local blood shortage. Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts (Oct. 3 and 10) – Delivered supplies to South Carolina and North Carolina, including bottled water, food, and batteries. Calfee Training School Support (Sept. 23) – Helped create a safe and educational play space for children. Christmas Cards for Military Personnel (Nov. 29) – Sent holiday messages to deployed service members. Holiday Fundraiser (Dec. 2-12) – Collected donations for children in Honduras.
