Main Facility T he main campus building is over 70,000 square feet and is situated on a 20-acre campus. An outdoor walking path complements the 20-acre campus with a small lake and water feature. The four-year student body consists of 600 students. VCOM collaborates with Wofford College, Converse College and the University of South Carolina Upstate in a program known as “College Town” to bring a diverse college feel to the Spartanburg community. Spartanburg Community and Area T he City of Spartanburg has a population of 40,000 with Spartanburg County comprising a total 281,000. In Spartanburg, there is

Spartanburg is positioned approximately 30 miles northeast of Greenville, South Carolina, and approximately 70 miles southwest of Charlotte, North Carolina. Both cities offer easy airport access.

2013 VCOM-Carolinas begins weekly screening clinics for the local community.

2012 Carolinas Receives COCA Accreditation. Exterior of DuPre house preservation and renovation begins.

The first White Coat ceremony is held in October in Twitchell Auditorium at Converse College to celebrate the milestone of medical students beginning their journey to become physicians.

VCOM-Carolinas and Spartanburg Regional Health System celebrates the grand opening of their new collaborative cancer and stem cell laboratory at the Gibbs Cancer Center and Research Institute.
