VCOM 2023 Annual Report
O ne of my most memorable experiences as a medical student at VCOM has been participating in the international medical mission trips. I have had the privilege to visit all sites throughout my medical career as a medical student, resident, and now attending physician. My time spent abroad has broadened my perspective and has enhanced my cultural awareness. The trips have made me a
better physician to my patients in the United States, especially being able to communicate effectively with my Spanish-speaking patients. Each time I visit our international sites, I return inspired, refreshed, and renewed.
