Human Resources will also be responsible to send letters to the unsuccessful candidates after committee review. 10. ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER Upon acceptance of the offer, the hiring officer/supervisor will notify the Director for Human Resources of the of the anticipated start date and other relevant information. New staff will participate in a new hire orientation process through Human Resources. Human Resources engages the Center for Institutional, Faculty, and Student Success and all Divisions in the orientation process. 11. DIFFICULT RECRUITMENTS For some positions, recruiting can be difficult due to the low number of potential candidates; thus, identifying multiple qualified candidates may not be possible. Modifications to this policy may be necessary from time-to-time and must be approved by the hiring officer/supervisor and Campus Dean
and/or President or Provost. 12. DURATION OF POLICY
The VCOM Policy and Procedures for Recruiting Administrative Staff, Classified Staff, and Select Wage Employees, is effective as of the date above and will remain effective until amended or terminated by the President, with approval by the Board of Directors.
