o Students who fail to sit for C3DO on the designated testing date will be placed on a Temporary Administrative Withdrawal, with a timeline to sit for and pass C3DO. o Failure to sit for C3DO within the designated timeline may result in a delayed graduation date. o The student should be aware that he or she is not eligible for financial aid while temporarily withdrawn. o Upon sitting for C3DO, the student will be re-enrolled and allowed to return to the curriculum. Students on ADPOS may have a different deadline to sit for C3DO. • Students who are following an Altered Degree Plan of Study are required to meet with the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs to determine their testing date. • Students must receive a passing score on C3DO by April 1 of their OMS 4 year (as well as meeting all other requirements) to be listed in the graduation program. • Students must have a passing score on C3DO by the day prior to the graduation ceremony to be allowed to walk in the graduation ceremony. o Students who do not receive a passing score by this date but who receive a passing score prior to the following year’s graduation ceremony will be allowed to walk in that graduation ceremony. Students must achieve a passing score on the C3DO. Repeat attempts are permitted as necessary until the requirement is met. 14.1 C3DO: Failure of the First or Additional Attempts Students who do not pass C3DO on any attempt must meet with the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs or the Associate Dean of OMS 4 and GME (depending on the year of the student), and the C3DO Physician Lead (meetings for failures of the second or additional attempts will also include the Campus Dean) to develop a prescribed remediation plan that must receive final approval from the Campus Dean. Approval must be granted prior to the student being permitted to sit for their next attempt. • The length and details of the study plan will be based on each student’s individual progress. • Students will continue to study for their next attempt of C3DO while they are on clinical rotations. • Students must follow and complete a prescribed remediation plan as designed in order to be released to sit for their next attempt of C3DO, which includes providing Clinical Affairs and the C3DO Physician Lead with weekly updates regarding study plan progress. VCOM will evaluate students’ completion of the prescribed remediation plan VCOM has also set the following timelines to meet graduation requirements:
