• If the student receives a failing score, the student will remain on temporary withdrawal and must successfully pass COMLEX Level 2 CE within a required timeframe to avoid dismissal. o Temporary withdrawal may not exceed a 180-day limit. If the total time exceeds 180 days, the student will be dismissed by the Campus Dean. C. A student who is not enrolled in VCOM’s National Board Preparation course and who is not in a college approved COMLEX Level 2 CE external immersion program as part of the prescribed remediation plan at the time of completing all other graduation requirements will be placed on a Temporary Administrative Withdrawal by the Campus Dean and must receive a passing score within a required timeframe to avoid dismissal. Temporary withdrawal may not exceed a 180-day limit. If the total time exceeds 180 days, the student will be dismissed by the Campus Dean. • Upon receiving a passing score, if all other requirements for graduation have been met, the student will graduate on the date they receive a passing score. • If the student receives a failing score, the student will remain on temporary withdrawal and must successfully pass COMLEX Level 2 CE within a required timeframe to avoid dismissal.

14. CORE COMPETENCY CAPSTONE FOR DO’S (C3DO) The AOA Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) requires Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine to ensure that all students, before graduation, demonstrate competence in osteopathic medical knowledge and osteopathic clinical skills and satisfy the national standards for osteopathic clinical skills competency assessments necessary for licensure. The Core Competency Capstone for DOs (C3DO) assessment was developed to meet this standard and to safeguard patients. Additionally, the C3DO will be available as a licensure credential beginning with the Class of 2029 for assessment and verification of osteopathic clinical skills competencies as part of the eligibility requirements for COMLEX-USA Level 3. Therefore, VCOM has set the passage of C3DO as a requirement for graduation and has set forth the schedules and timelines for passing this exam as below: • Each year, students are assigned a designated C3DO testing date by the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and are required to return to campus to sit for C3DO on this date. Testing occurs during the second semester of the OMS 3 year.
