for providing optimal care, write a short post- course reflection paragraph that addresses an assigned theme from the session and submit to Canvas. Students from partner health programs: register for one of the sessions, do the pre-course iTEACH module, attend and participate in the small group session including interprofessional breakout rooms. Facilitators, Guest speakers and Faculty from partner programs: debrief at key points, answer questions as needed. To date, IPE sessions have been conducted in blocks 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in 2020-21, and blocks 2 and 5 so far in 2021-22. Since it is a mandatory experience for all VCOM students, an estimated 1,295 students have participated, along with nearly 100 guest students from other health programs in Southwest Virginia. Feedback from students has been insightful, as the topics contribute significantly to team-based health care training.
