VCOM-VA kicked off orientation by welcoming the Class of 2024 with a drive-thru check-in.
VCOM-Virginia’s students back for the new school year with a Welcome Back drive-thru parade. Students were given goodie bags and lunch. The student organization, Bioethics and Humanities in Medicine Committee (BAHM), collected canned goods to benefit the Montgomery County Christmas Store.
Student Services hosted a drive-thru for students to help keep spirits up. Students were given burritos and goodies bags with new masks, hand sanitizers and thermometers.
The student organization, Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS), held the event “Sprouts of Hope for Our Seniors” on the VCOM patio. The students replanted succulents into larger, more permanent pots and wrote special notes to the retirement community residents.
The Class of 2023 held the annual Cadaver Memorial Service in honor of the donors. The service honored those who donated their bodies, allowing students to learn human anatomy and prepare for their future careers as physicians.
organizations, SGA and SOMA, hosted the VCOM Harvest Festival yesterday. It was a way for the students to mingle with each other safely and enjoy a fun study break. There was a pumpkin decorating contest, pumpkin ring toss, photo-booth and fall-themed snacks.
