Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences

Offered through Bluefield University, with collaborative teaching by VCOM professors, the MABS program’s focus is on biomedical sciences with a strong emphasis on human medicine and clinical applications. One of the most important features of the program – the benchmarks – allow a successful student guaranteed interview and priority or acceptance status into VCOM’s DO program.

The primary purpose of M.A. in Biomedical Sciences is to allow students to enhance their academics and gain acceptance into a medical school through a nine-month, 35-credit hour, rigorous curriculum.

The program supports the mission of both VCOM and Bluefield University by attracting individuals from rural areas, low socioeconomic status backgrounds, and underrepresented minorities, although acceptance is not limited to individuals from these groups.
