The Class of 2024 students received their white coats at the VCOM-Virginia White Coat Ceremony on April 18th. This ceremony is a rite of passage for the students and signifies a commitment to the osteopathic profession. April

The VCOM-Virginia Class of 2021 graduated as Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine on May 7th.
Dr. Randdie-Joyce Rameau, Class of 2021, was awarded the 2021 Excellence in Public Health Award. The awards program recognizes medical students across the United States who advance public health and those who exemplify the United States Public Health Services (USPHS) mission to protect, promote, and advance the health and safety of the nation.
The Class of 2021 matched into their residencies in a virtual Match Day event due to COVID-19.
VCOM honored its graduates serving in the Armed Forces during the 2021 Military Promotion Ceremony on May 6th. The graduates in the Health Professions Scholarship Program took the oath of office and received their promotion pins.
Dr. Blaise Costa, MPharm, PhD, Associate Professor for Pharmacology,
was named VCOM-Virginia’s 2021 Researcher of the Year.
Student Services mailed out Match Day care boxes to each student to make the day feel special despite its remote nature.
