The Cardiology Committee allows students to grow their interest in cardiology-related fields. The sub-committee expands students’ knowledge about cardiovascular diseases, cardiac procedures and develops skills that allow students to be competitive residency Cardiology A specialty committee of ACOI

applicants. With heart disease being a top cause of death in the Unites States, the group strives to educate the community on prevention techniques including seeking appropriate medical interventions.

The Dermatology Committee gives students the chance to develop a well-rounded knowledge about the field of dermatology, while preparing them to be a successful residency applicant. Not only are students interested in dermatology encouraged to participate, but also students interested Dermatology A specialty committee of ACOI

in primary care. With many Americans developing skin cancer in their lifetime, it is often first brought to the attention of a primary care doctor. The committee also works to raise awareness for skin cancer in the community.
