El Salvador

V COM’s healthcare services in El Salvador began simply with mobile units visiting children in remote villages at their homes. Now, through partnerships with the El Salvador Ministry of Health, the Evangelical University Medical School and AMILAT Foundation, Shalom Medical Center has been established to best serve the community. It is able to provide primary care health services, prenatal care, and has a state-of-the-art pediatric suite, laboratory, and pharmacy. Through VCOM’s partnership with the Decameron Resort, low-resource students who

While in El Salvador, the group took trips to provide medical services and medication at orphanages, remote villages and underserved areas. Aside from the important work they put in, the group was able to spend a day relaxing at the beach.
