attend the AAO Convocation in March. Over 100 students attended multiple, relaxed classes throughout the weekend to learn from VCOM’s best. ■ ■ SAAO worked together with HCMO to conduct blood pressure and glucose screenings, as well as OMM, at the annual Roanoke Latino Festival in October 2016.

strongly encourages the practice of osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) that sets DOs apart as physicians. SAAO concentrates on helping the students at VCOM master OMM techniques and promote its usage. ■ ■ On February 4, 2017, all three VCOM campuses joined together at the Carolinas campus for a miniature convocation weekend that mimicked the style of the annual AAO Convocation. The hopes of this weekend were to build stronger relationships between the three campuses and to inspire students to
