Scholarship Fund. This fund sponsors students in their third and fourth years doing rotations abroad. A total of $1,140 was raised between seven teams along with contributions from the Medical Associates of Southwest Virginia. ■ ■ On Saturday March 2, 2016, 12 club members volunteered

at the Boxer Brief 5k along with Mark Rogers, DO, Lindsay Call, DO, and Michelle Napoli, MD. The club provided medical support and OMM to participants and volunteers. The race was hosted by the foundation, “Hitting Cancer Below the Belt.” ■ ■ Four members of the executive board went to

Harding Avenue Elementary School for “Science Night.” The children were educated on the basics of the heart and heart healthy lifestyles. They enjoyed the hands on activities provided by AOASM including demonstrations with plastinated specimens, stethoscope and interactive “blood flow map.”
