Outreach I nternational and Appalachian outreach programs at VCOM– Virginia provide medical students with practical, hands-on experience through field training, mentorship, and a deep commitment to developing healthy communities close to home and across the globe.

The College’s pledge to reach rural and medically underserved communities has been core to VCOM’s mission since the beginning. VCOM’s ability to provide those in need with healthcare and continued access to medical supplies is made possible by various partnerships with multiple institutions.
