Description: Freedom Tower was taken in July 2015 in New York City, New York and depicts an iconic American architecture that towers above all. It demonstrates the strength, adversity, and fortitude as America continues towards excellence much like an osteopathic physician does throughout their career.

Description: To me, “building on excellence” means remaining in a constant state of improvement. This process begins with introspection, ambition, and the desire to bring about change. And often, this process is one that begins with one entity or individual being brave enough to take the first steps alone. This picture was taken in the Constitution Gardens in Washington D.C. This picture reminds me of the loneliness and fear that often coincide with the beginning steps we take towards excellence in our lives, and also the gratitude and solace felt when looking back on our humble beginnings.
