Tameka Byrd, DO, was selected for the 2015-2016 Training in Policy Studies (TIPS) Fellowship Program. TIPS is a yearlong fellowship program geared toward current

osteopathic residents and fellows that will prepare its participants for leadership roles and/or positions of influence in health policy. It is offered through the New York Institute of Technology’s (NYIT) College of Osteopathic Medicine. Only 12 physicians are selected each year to participate. The fellowship will be completed while Dr. Byrd continues her current residency in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Mindy Tyree, DO, welcomed a healthy baby boy, Ronan Mehran, on September 7, 2015. He weighed seven pounds and 15 ounces.

Cristin Mathew, DO, recently became a Senior Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery in the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in July. In August, Dr. Mathew married Jeslie Jose. Additionally, he was honored as a Resident Scholar at the Arthroscopy Association of
