Kwabena Owusu- Boateng presented his poster, Lilliputian hallucinations and alcohol withdrawal: The case of the Virginia October 23-24. His poster was about a type of visual hallucination where the person sees little, sometimes disfigured people or animals. The term Lilliputian hallucination was coined by Dr. Raoul Leroy in 1909 based on the small people inhabiting the island of Lilliput in Jonathan Swift’s novel “Gulliver’s Travels”. Kortnee Koziara along with 14 other Osteopathic medical students were chosen from the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents to participate in “Helping Hands” in conjunction with the American Osteopathic Foundation and Give Kids the World (GKTW) in Orlando, Florida. Give Kids the World (GKTW) is a non-profit, 79 acre fantasy- land located in the heart of central Florida, where children ages 3-18 with terminal illnesses experience their dreams come true.

Katherine Kirby was inducted into the Omega Beta Iota National Osteopathic Political Action Honor Society at the AOA OMED Convention. This honorary selection signifies the political work students have completed on state and national levels for healthcare advancement.
