Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) is a poorly understood pathology in which chronic inflammation leads to accelerated damage to the lung parenchyma. Early intervention seems to be associated with greater outcomes however patients can progress to a stage requiring lung transplantation without intervention at a relatively early age. In the present case, it seems that patient had eosinophilic pneumonia from an aspergillus niger infection causing patients respiratory status to decline
