WILDERNESS MEDICINE Special Interest Group of ACOEP Alexander Wilk, Chair

T he Wilderness Medicine (WILD) Group’s mission is to promote camaraderie and learning medical skills in low resource settings. In March, members attended the Southeastern Student Wilderness Medicine Conference in Augusta, GA. Students went to workshops ranging from wilderness toxicology and splinting/carries to swift water rescue. The group also organized numerous camping and hiking excursions throughout the year.
