2 017-2018 was an exciting school year for VCOM-Carolinas as we celebrated our fourth graduating class of 147 newly minted DOs. With excellent match results, our graduates are now moving on to post graduate training in their specialties of choice as Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine. Consistent with our mission, the majority of our graduates will go on to pursue residency training in primary care specialties. This year our recently-opened VCOM Magnolia Research Center has been a hub for faculty and students alike. They continually engage in a broad range of research projects, focusing on the College’s mission of promoting research to improve human health. It is a pleasure seeing our superb VCOM students in action both within the academic setting and the community. I am inspired daily by their dedication to the College’s mission and their focus on the communities they serve.
