Class of 2018 Graduation

O n Saturday, May 19, 2018, a commencement ceremony was held for the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM)–Carolinas Class of 2018. A total of 147 medical students walked across the stage of the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium this year to graduate with the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. The Class of 2018 is the fourth class to graduate from VCOM–Carolinas. Supportive family members, friends, and members of the VCOM faculty, staff and students attended the ceremony. The VCOM–Carolinas Class of 2018 saw excellent match results, with students moving forward to residencies throughout the Carolinas and across the United States. The majority of graduates will pursue primary care as their specialty, following the College’s mission to meet the needs of rural and medically underserved populations and promoting research to improve human health.
