“ The medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic was a very rewarding experience that allowed us to serve patients with minimal access to health care while gaining more medical knowledge and growing as student doctors. All of us became more confident performing physical exams as well as prescribing medications. It

was amazing to see how fast we became with diagnosing and doing focused exams from the first day to the last. I am thankful for the opportunity to have been able to help the patients we saw while growing as a student doctor and hope to be able to return as a fourth year [student] and eventually a physician. ”
