NOVEMBER

DECEMBER

On November 4, the VCOM-Carolinas American College of Osteopathic

A group of medical students from colleges across the Upstate got a stressful taste of what actual hospital work is like. Students from VCOM-Carolinas, University of South Carolina Upstate nursing students, and Presbyterian College pharmacy students partnered for a patient treatment in a hospital setting.

The VCOM-Carolinas student chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP) held a suture workshop in December to teach group members the proper technique and give them an opportunity to gain a degree of comfort with the procedure before adding the stress that comes with working on patients.

Pediatricians (ACOP) student organization held their annual

Pediatric Wellness Fair promoting the osteopathic value that health is an interplay of mind, body, and spirit. The event featured many interactive booths and resources for the children, caretakers and families that attended.
