VCOM-Carolinas students raised over 500 dollars on September 7 for the privilege of shaving Dr. Paulman’s head. The funds were donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief and to Doctors Without Borders, to aid relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey.

On September 29, the Via Wellness Intellectual Committee, Mental Health Awareness Task Force and Student Osteopathic Medical Association hosted a day of food, friendly games and other activities to promote physical, mental, and spiritual wellness of students, faculty, staff and families.

The newly donated VCOM-Carolinas Mobile Medical Unit’s entrance into local outreach took place October 27 at the Wellness Initiative for our Neighborhood (WIN) event, where VCOM-Carolinas faculty and students provided a variety of services and screenings to the public, in collaboration with many organizations in the area
