Highlights 2017-2018

JUNE

JULY

ReGenesis Health Care donated a mobile medical unit to VCOM, a gift that improves the College’s ability to provide care in Spartanburg and throughout the southern Appalachian region. With two exam rooms equipped for medical procedures, allowing patients to be treated on location, the mobile unit arrived on campus in early summer.

For two weeks in July, local high school students participated in an immersive, five-day medical school experience led by VCOM students and faculty. The high school students engaged in activities in the anatomy lab, research studies, games and tours of Spartanburg emergency vehicles to learn more about careers and research in the healthcare field.

In July, VCOM-Carolinas welcomed the Class of 2021! Our newest class of medical students and their families enjoyed a picnic on Sunday, July 30 on campus before starting their first day of Orientation the next morning.
