shipmates by giving a presentation on mission surgery in an Iraqi war zone, which involved work with Samaritan’s Purse in Africa, the Middle East and Central America. • Member of the Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team (SP-DART). [SP-DART, and its hundreds of world-wide volunteers, mobilize internationally, often on very short notice, to remote regions after a cataclysmic event.] • Deployed twice with SP-DART for months to Mosul, Iraq in 2016-17, setting up a fully functional Emergency Field Hospital and living facilities within a few weeks to care for the thousands of wounded civilians and military casualties escaping from the battle of Iraqi Coalition Forces to retake Mosul from ISIS. • Interviewed by the press to do a wide variety of public speaking to medical schools, hospitals, churches, community organizations, etc. both at home and abroad.
