The purpose of the Via Wellness program at the VCOM-Auburn campus is to promote a healthy mind, body and spirit. The program provides enrichment to campus life through a wide variety of sports, fitness and exercise, as well as social, cultural and spiritual events. Students, faculty, staff and their family members are welcome to participate in all Via Wellness activities at VCOM-Auburn. The Via Wellness social committee focuses on holding events to get students outside of the classroom and socialize with each other and faculty in a more casual setting. Via Wellness social events help students and faculty here at VCOM to take a breather from their daily stresses and responsibilities and enjoy some fun activities. This past year, the social domain

organized several events such as a “how to make an Oreo pie event,” “how to solve a Rubik’s cube” and a charades tournament. The social committee also organizes the Annual Chili Cook-off which is a success every year. Members try to arrange events that would bring students and faculty out to learn new activities and enjoy themselves. The Via Wellness Physical Committee was involved in many different events that earn points and promote physical wellness. For the physical domain of Via Wellness, various fitness activities in students’ daily lives earn points. Some examples of these are weightlifting, running, biking or participating in intramural sports.
