The Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) at VCOM-Auburn exists to give students and faculty at the College an opportunity to learn about Jesus, grow in their faith, participate in fun activities and build friendships that will last for a lifetime. The CMDA motto for this past year was that members simply wanted to love Jesus and love people. The main consistent activities that members held were prayer time every Monday morning at the Blackmon house, Bible study every Wednesday night at the Daniel house and one or two on-campus dinners in the MPR every block with a guest speaker. Members also tried to include some fun events where students could just get away from school and have a good time. At the end of July, CMDA organized a lake day on Lake Martin. Dr. Champion, a gastroenterologist from Birmingham, Alabama, graciously let the club use his lake house for this

fun get together. Approximately 30 people from VCOM came to this lake day, where numerous activities were held including cornhole, tubing, wakeboarding, water skiing and many more. Members grilled burgers for everyone, and felt it was a great opportunity for the new first-year students to meet their classmates and kick off a new year of school. In October to kick off the block, a bonfire was held at Rushing Waters Farm. About 30-40 people came to the bonfire. The desire for the bonfire event was to get a large group of VCOM students together to have a good time before studies would get intense later in the block. Members roasted s’mores and second-year student Andrew Williams played songs on his guitar throughout the night.

In December, CMDA held its Holidays dinner
