T he American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) is dedicated to supporting women in medicine by improving and advocating for women’s health issues. AMWA is a nationally recognized membership comprised of physicians, residents, medical students, pre-medical students, health care professionals and supporters. AMWA’s advisors, R. This year, AMWA hosted a community yard sale, where a portion of the funds raised were donated to a local shelter. AMWA also created Mother’s Day cards, distributed them to all VCOM-Auburn mothers and delivered cards to new and expecting mothers at local hospitals. AMWA also collaborated with CMDA for the Human Trafficking Awareness event. AMWA members were extremely passionate about this event as they wanted to be the voice for the women who are silenced by trafficking and wished to bring awareness to this issue.

by providing the VCOM-Auburn family with educational case presentations.
