“ The week I was lucky enough to spend in Honduras was one of the most challenging but rewarding weeks of my life. I learned so much, not only about medicine, but about serving others. It is so hard to put into words the impact the people of Honduras had in my life, but I think one picture sums it

up pretty well. Since I began my journey into medicine, I have always known that I wanted to do pediatrics, so of course my favorite part of the trip was getting to interact with the kids. On this particular day, I kneeled down to talk to one of the kids and next thing I know, there were five children surrounding me

just wanting to hug and talk to me (or it could have been that they liked to see themselves on camera, haha). It was amazing to see how happy and excited they were to just play with a complete stranger. I definitely left a piece of my heart with the people and children of Honduras and I cannot wait until the next time I am able to go back. ”
