MMSA also held a “Fastathon Dinner” where students and staff members were invited to participate in fasting for a day (as much as they wanted to). At the end of the day, everyone was invited to join the group for dinner and were encouraged to donate MMSA provided a courtesy breakfast on campus with a
either one canned food item or $1 that was donated to the East Alabama Food Bank. In collaboration with the Auburn Islamic Center, the MMSA also hosted a volunteer opportunity to help the mosque sort and package a large quantity of staple food items into boxes to distribute to local families.
