Research at VCOM Advancing Discovery in Service of Community Health R esearch is an essential expression of VCOM’s institutional mission. VCOM’s research enterprise is built to support that vision. The Research Division partners with

and intellectual property licensing. These efforts ensure that research at VCOM is collaborative, well-supported, and aligned with real-world health needs. Currently, VCOM supports 25 internally funded research projects with an annual investment of $1.2 million, and many of our faculty’s externally funded projects begin as internally supported initiatives,

faculty, students, residents, and hospital collaborators to move ideas from concept to impact. VCOM helps identify funding opportunities, builds and manages cross-campus research teams, develops proposals and manuscripts, offers statistical consulting, and guides technology transfer
