a nationally recognized course that teaches simple, effective steps to control life-threatening bleeding. By training VCOM students and sending them into local high schools as instructors, the College strengthens both campus readiness and community resilience. Back-to-School Period Packing Aug. 3– Members the VCOM Carolinas’ chapters of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG) and American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) participated in a back-to-school period packing event with the Spartanburg Period Project. They assembled menstruation kits for over 70 schools in Spartanburg County.

Education and Youth Engagement Summer Enrichment Experience (SEE) program July 7-11– Medical student volunteers and enthusiastic high school campers had an amazing time exploring the world of science and medicine together with hands-on experiments and inspiring discussions. Trunk-or-Treat Oct. 31– The VCOM-Carolinas’ chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP) held a Trunk-or-Treat at Meeting Street Academy in Spartanburg, SC. The event featured VCOM students in full costumes and seven decorated trunks providing families and students with a lively, safe, and memorable Halloween celebration.

proudly launched a new Mobile Medical Unit, a state-of-the-art clinic on wheels designed to bring essential healthcare services to medically underserved and rural communities in Upstate South Carolina. VCOM-Carolinas acquired a second mobile medical unit (MMU) in September. This smaller clinic-on-wheels expands the reach and impact of VCOM’s domestic outreach program. Community Service Stop the Bleed VCOM-Carolinas has continued its ongoing participation in the American College of Surgeons’ Stop the Bleed program,
