Mini Med School Feb. 14– An event that welcomed students from Beauregard, Beulah, and Opelika High Schools for an immersive medical education experience covering mental health, addiction, infectious disease, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), the medical school experience, and affordable healthy eating—including a live cooking demonstration. AU VetFest April 5– An event designed to give children a fun and comforting introduction to the world of medicine and veterinary care. VCOM-Auburn students participated in the Teddy Bear Surgery Clinic where they helped perform approximately 120 “surgeries” on teddy bears. Summer Enrichment Experience (SEE) Program June 1-7– Hosted by VCOM Auburn in collaboration with Auburn University, this hands on program gave high school students across Alabama the opportunity to explore anatomy labs, participate in clinical simulations, engage with research insights, and join public health discussions. STEM Bridge Summer Camp June 26– Hosted by VCOM Auburn in partnership with Auburn University’s College of Sciences
and Mathematics (COSAM), students preparing for rigorous STEM majors strengthened their academic skills and built confidence through interactive sessions, mentorship, and skill building activities. Brain Camp July 14-18– In partnership with Auburn University, rising high school juniors and seniors, along with incoming college freshmen, immersed themselves in the fascinating world of neuroscience. Participants explored hands-on technology experiences, learned in VCOM-Auburn’s Anatomy Lab, and engaged in simulations in the state-of-the-art Simulation Center.

Down South Cancer 5k March 8– Hosted by VCOM Auburn’s Via Wellness Club, participants could choose between a family-friendly 1-mile fun run or challenge themselves with the full 5K at Town Creek Park. Proceeds supported the Down South Cancer Foundation, helping cancer patients and their families during critical times. 3rd Annual Pickleball Tournament May 3– Featuring 19 teams of students, faculty, and staff from VCOM-Auburn and the Master of Health Science in Anesthesia (MHSA) program. Participants competed for fun and camaraderie while raising $900 to benefit the Exceptional Foundation of East Alabama in honor of Autism Awareness Month.
