Graduate Medical Education

V COM graduates match to residency programs across the country, pursuing a wide range of specialties. At the same time, the College maintains strong partnerships with affiliated hospitals— many located in the Appalachian and Delta regions—that actively support osteopathic medical education and are committed to training physicians who serve rural and medically underserved communities. These institutions offer both undergraduate clinical training and graduate medical education (GME), creating clear pathways from medical school to residency. Many affiliated hospitals also offer fellowship programs, providing opportunities for advanced training across a range of specialties.
