Growing up in a rural town in Virginia with a population of less than 5,000 folks, I saw firsthand the challenges faced by underserved populations with limited access to healthcare. Osteopathic medicine’s focus on preventative care, the body’s ability to heal itself, and building strong doctor-patient relationships resonates with my desire to serve communities like the one I come from. I am particularly drawn to rural care, where there is a significant need for skilled providers to address a wide range of health issues.”
